I would mention this to my wife.....except the cackling laughter would probably cause my ears to bleed; and she would probably consider that I had really lost it this time.

Good idea for rugged southern cline set ups (i.e. adobe hut). Besides, the time and materials required to make that ceiling hole weather proof will probably largely obviate any savings. Why not just bite the bullet and get LED bulbs?

I guess this would be useful if you have no windows in your house? We never have the lights on during the day.

... when it's raining and you have to put the top up on your Corvette convertible??

i wonder if you put colored glitter in the water, with a bubbler, if you could have a disco experience.

I have had a dozen of these installed in my basement and they haven't worked since day one.

I think I might be using the wrong type water? Mine is filtered via Aquarain and not a Berkey......

Or in locations within about 5 degrees of the equator! Don't see it being quite the killer app in Maine or Sweeden.

I take it the water keeps light transmissibility pretty much constant, or prevents the plastic from getting "fogged".

It sounds like the punch line to a blond joke.
